Catherine Louise Mandarino

Catharine L. Mandarino, 92, formally of St. Joseph, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005 in Hermitage, TN. Born October 29, 1912 in Warsaw, Indiana. Parents, Ralph and Cora (Lloyd) Huff, both deceased. Mrs. Mandarino moved to Michigan in September of 1933. She worked at the Williams Bros. Box Factory for 11 years, for the Voice of Music for 22 years, and volunteered at the Benton Harbor Library for 9 years. Catharine married Frank M. Mandarino (deceased March 2002) and had two children, Glen Michael (Mickey) Mandarino (deceased), & Denise Louise (Dale) Holland of Old Hickory, TN; daughter-in-law Janice (Ron) Wood of Benton Harbor; five grandchildren-Regina M. (Jason) Thompson of Mt. Juliet, TN, Darlene Day of Ft. Wayne, IN, Glenda (Chris) Randall of Coloma, Frank M. Mandarino of Coloma, Heidi Bower of Coloma; six great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother Wilbur Huff of Ft. Wayne, IN and a sister Florence M. Wiley of Niles, MI. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:30 A.M. Saturday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Rev. David Yoh officiating. Burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
