David's Obituary

David D. Denkins, 43, of Benton Harbor, formerly of Flint, MI, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. David was born to Delbert and Mava (Hyatt) Denkins on April 28, 1961, in Flint, Michigan. David was a Drill Sergeant in the Army from 1978 to 1984. On November 24, 1980, he married Kimberly ?Kim? Blower in Flint. For ten years David worked as a road technician for Barlett Nuclear Services. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 437 in St. Joseph and Grand Mere Rifle Club. David enjoyed collecting coins and rifles and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. David is survived by his wife Kim; his children-Samantha Denkins (Dennis Bentley) of Flint and Delbert (Tracy) Denkins of Ann Arbor; sister Darlene (Tom) Taylor of Jackson; brother Dan (Melody) of Flint; uncle Donald Hyatt of Flint; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws; and brothers at Masonic Lodge # 437. David was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
