Douglas Tod Osborn, 36, of Benton Harbor, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2004 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo following a brief battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Brian Rumer of New Life Baptist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Starks & Menchinger. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Doug was born December 4, 1968 in St. Joseph to Dallas & Susan (Deuel) Osborn. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1987. Doug worked as an electrician beginning in 1988 with his father at Osborn Electric Services in Kalamazoo. He later joined Hill Electric Services, Inc.; and for the last two years was a self-employed electrical contractor, operating Osborn Electric Services in Benton Harbor. Doug was very much a people person. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his two children, Graham & Karlyn. Doug coached his son?s & daughter?s baseball & soccer teams. Doug also enjoyed many sports-boating, fishing, biking, snowboarding, basketball, inline skating, and fantasy football. Doug is survived by his son Graham Osborn & his daughter Karlyn Osborn of St. Joseph; his mother and step-father Susan & Jack Franklin of Stevensville; his father Dallas Osborn of Kalamazoo; his sister Darcy (John) Hossink of Vicksburg, MI; his maternal grandparents Warren & May Deuel of Benton Harbor; his special friend Leslie Ross of Benton Harbor; his former wife Nancy Osborn of St. Joseph; and a large, loving, extended family. Doug was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Arthur & Julia Osborn
