Ken Shimer

Ken Shimer, 46, of Watervliet, passed away Monday evening, March 21, 2005, at Lakeland Health Center in St. Joseph. A celebration of life will be conducted from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, at The Board of Trade, 8690 Lake Avenue, Watervliet Township. Ken was born July 31, 1958 in Watervliet, son of Clark Donald and Barbara Ann (Bumpus) Shimer. Ken graduated from Watervliet High School and was employed at Modern Plastics in Benton Harbor for 28 years. Those who knew Ken will remember his zest for life. He loved to laugh and his laugh was infectious. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Ken is survived by his daughter, Maegan, of Watervliet and his son, Brandon, of Florida; his parents, Barbara and Eldon Kroening of Watervliet; five sisters ? Pam Shimer of Bemidji, MN, Patty (Mike) Stennett of Woodbridge, VA, Laura (Greg) Swigart of Watervliet, Lynn (Ray) Griffin of Watervliet, Jan (Clinton) King of Watervliet; two brothers ?
