Virginia Eileen Smith

Virginia E. Smith, 76, died Thursday, June 9, 2005, at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, Mich., surrounded by her son John, and a dear friend. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Virginia was born March 6, 1929 in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Inez and John Henry Smith. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School and was a member of the VFW. She retired in 1994 after 32 years of employment with New Products Corporation. Virginia loved her family, friends, and her pets. She was best known for her wonderful sense of humor. Virginia is survived by her son John Leo Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers ? Edwin and Kenneth Smith.
