Shirley Grace Palmer

Shirley’s life began on November 6, 1918 in Dowagiac, the daughter of C. Max and Lucille (Williams) Benner. She was united in marriage to Harry “Hal” Palmer on March 19, 1941 in Dowagiac. Her loving family includes her daughter Mary (Hank) Ziemke of Sister Lakes, grandchildren Marc (Jennifer) Ziemke of Rockford, MI and Matthew (Libby) Ziemke of Grass Lake, MI, great grandchildren Gabe, Mackenzie Grace, and Quentin Ziemke. Shirley passed away on Sunday March 17, 2013 at Forest Glen Assisted Living. She is preceded in death by her husband Hal in 1991. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church led by Father Carlton Kelly. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
