Karen R. Perry

Karen R. Perry, 60, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 9:30 A.M. Saturday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Melanie Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan or the charity of the donor?s choice. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1963. Karen was employed as an accountant for F & M Bank, Northern Trust Bank, People?s State Bank & Pinnacle Bank. Most recently she was working through Man Power which recently became Aerotek, at Whirlpool Corporation. On May 21, 1983, she married James Perry in St. Joseph. Karen enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, bird watching, tending to her flower & vegetable gardens, and spending time with Rusty, the family dog. Karen is survived by her husband James; two sisters-Janice Hicks and Marilyn Curtis, both of St. Joseph; her brother James (Judy) Curtis of Bitely, MI; and seven nephews & four nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her twin sister-Karol Ann Callender, on June 10, 1977.
