Irene M. Robertson

Mitzi Robertson, 72, of Stevensville, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2005 unexpectedly yet peacefully at home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Fr. William Jacobs, Jr., officiating. Friends may call from noon to 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Great lakes Shipwreck Historical Society, 111 Ashmun, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan 49783. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Robertson was born May 15, 1932 in Dollar Bay, Michigan to Lawrence & Celina (Miron) Ryan. On September 18, 1954 she married C. Alan Robertson in Dollar Bay, Michigan. Mitzi was employed as a Registered Nurse with the Berrien County Health Department and Mercy-Memorial Hospital. She was an active volunteer at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point near their summer home in Paradise, MI. Mitzi also enjoyed antiques & collectibles and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed tending to her outdoor flowers & houseplants. Mitzi is survived by her husband Alan; two sons-Lawrence (Kelly) Robertson of San Diego, CA, Marshall (Holly) Robertson of Grayslake, IL; her daughter Christel Robertson of Kohler, WI; three grandchildren-Elise & Lauren Robertson, & Annabelle Goese. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Doris Pflaum in 1980.
