Olga Ovik, 102, of St. Joseph, Michigan, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2004 at Orchard Grove Extended Care Centre, Benton Harbor, MI.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Kerley ? Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd.; with Rev. Wade Panse officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 To 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Joe-Harbor Vasa Lodge 534 or First United Methodist Church of St. Joseph.
Olga was born February 23, 1902 in Uddevalla, Sweden to Karl & Augusta Johansson. On June 25, 1927 she married John P. Ovik and they spent many happy years together until his death in 1972. Mrs. Ovik was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who delighted in her home and family.
Mrs. Ovik is survived by her son Rolf Ovik, of St. Joseph; two granddaughters?Victoria (Dave) Koch of St. Joseph and Darlene (Rick) James of Homer Glen, IL; two great-grandchildren?Bradley Koch of Bloomington IN and Kari Koch of St. Joseph.
She is preceded by her parents, 12 siblings, her husband and her daughter-in-law, Pat Ovik.
