Wanda J. Mai

Wanda J. Mai, 67, of Stevensville, passed away on November 13, 2004, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 16, 2004, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Dennis Veenkant officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 15, 2004 at the funeral home. Wanda was born to Earl and Evelyn (Carson) Bland on September 29, 1937 in Kalamazoo. She married John Mai on September 29, 1956 in Kalamazoo and they celebrated forty-eight years together. Wanda enjoyed dancing and traveling with John, reading, and spending time with her family. Wanda is survived by her husband, John of Stevensville; children, Mark (Bobbi) Mai of Bemidji, MN and Lauri (David) Foster of Bridgman; grandchildren- Ty Mai of Bemidji, Sarah and Jonathan Foster both of Bridgman; and a sister, Betty Veenkant of Richland, MI. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
