Eleanor R. Barchett

Eleanor R. Barchett, 67, of St. Joseph, passed away at her home in on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, just five days before her 68th birthday. Visitation will take place at Stevensville United Methodist Church, 5506 Ridge Rd., Stevensville, beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 21, 2005, with a Memorial Service immediately following at 12:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church which was very accommodating during her times of need. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home. Eleanor was born to Harold and Eleanor (Oberist) Morrison on January 23, 1937, in New York. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. Eleanor was a medical transcriptionist for Cedarwood in St. Joseph for almost twenty years until she retired. Eleanor enjoyed shopping locally and attending craft shows. Eleanor is survived by her children Jeff (Rhonda) Barchett of Benton Harbor and Lisa (Mike) Thorsen of Leslie, Michigan; grandchildren Charlie and Francine Barchett; and sister Marilyn McDonald of Marion, Ohio. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters.
