Marie N. Sorce, 61, of Benton Harbor, passed away Monday, September 27, 2004 at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Bernard?s Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware, Benton Harbor with Fr. William Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with the Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. Marie was born April 18, 1943 in Benton Harbor to Larry & Virginia (Rose) Roberts. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1961. On April 27, 1963, she married Paul Sorce in Benton Harbor. Marie was employed for twenty years as a para-professional with Benton Harbor Area Schools. She was a member of St. John-St. Bernard Parish in Benton Harbor. Marie loved spending time with her family & friends. Mrs. Sorce is survived by her husband Paul; two sons-Paul (Joy) Sorce of Detroit, Ron (Lisa) Sorce of Chicago; two granddaughters-Morgann & Alexis Sorce; a brother-in-law Glyn Brewer of Benton Harbor; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Sharon Ann Brewer November 6, 2000
