Donald Edward Sabadin, 74, of Stevensville died at home Wednesday, November 17, 2004.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00A.M., Monday, November 22, 2004, with Rev. Randy Doyle officiating at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00 ? 4:00 P.M., Sunday, November 21, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Animal Aid. Donald was born July 15, 1930 in Benton Harbor to Treste and Dorothy (Weaver) Sabadini. He owned and co-owned several businesses including – Sinbad West, MarKel Furniture Manufacturing in Coloma in the1960?s; Twin City Sailors Basketball team, and also the Anchor Inn. In 1966, at age thirty-five he was honored as ?Young Farmer of the Year? having traveled and studied in many foreign countries. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War stationed in Thule, Greenland. Donald taught Sunday school at Watervliet Congregational Church for many years, and as a young boy was also one of the train engineers for the House of David. He had a love for sports and animals. Donald kept busy after retirement working with Freeman Decorating in Convention Services in Las Vegas, and most recently launched the successful home repair business known as Frugal McDugal Home Repair.
Donald is survived by one son ? Rick Sabadin of Las Vegas, and by Dolores ?Dodie? Brunke of Stevensville; a brother ? Jack Sabadin; and a sister – Marion Sabadin.
