Henry's Obituary

Henry F. Haase, 84, of Bridgman, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman. There will be A Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 19, 2004 with Rev. Gerald Schroer officiating at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 15, 2004, from 7-9 P.M., at Kerley- Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Memorials may be made to Hospice and St. Paul?s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stevensville. Henry was born in Berlin, Germany to Herman and Anna (Schewe) Haase on September 22, 1919. He graduated from Lane Tech High in Chicago. He married Jane Jensen on August 31, 1940 in Chicago. Henry enjoyed being a pattern marker and worked for Industrial Pattern in Benton Harbor for many years before he retired. Henry is survived by his children-Herman (Shelly) Haase of Joliet, IL, Roald (Laurel) Haase of Aurora, IL, and Kristan (Karl) Kroening of Stevensville; grandchildren-Sharon (James) Zsebe, Matthew Haase, Katie Kroening, Maren Kroening, and Rachel Kroening; great-grandchild, Paul Zsebe; nephews, Dick Bastian and Bill Haase; and niece, Susan Jaroch. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Louise Bastian; and brother, Helmuth Haase.
