Elmeda's Obituary
Elmeda L. Keeter, 91, of Stevensville, passed away Monday, August 23, 2004 at home.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Wade Panse officiating. Entombment of ashes will take place at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, St. Joseph of which she was a member. Mrs. Keeter was born April 23, 1913 in St. Joseph to Louis & Ellen (Mundt) Metzger. On September 14, 1946 she married Gustav Keeter in Grand Rapids. Elmeda was employed by Whirlpool Corporation for 33 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Whirlpool Oldtimers & First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Keeter is survived by her sister Zelda Albrecht of St. Joseph; two nieces-Cynthia DeWeese & Vicki Bors; & two nephews-Mike Davis & Dale Albrecht. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gustav on February 4, 1975; and a sister Clarabelle Davis.
