Lucille T. Adent, 96, of St. Joseph went to meet her Lord & Savior, Saturday, December 18, 2004, at Caretel Inns of Royalton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph with Fr. Paul officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Monday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Liturgical Prayers will be recited at 6:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Adent was born April 1, 1908 in Minnesota to Frank & Mary (Spayer) Kotowski. On November 28, 1929, she married Alphonse Adent in Chicago. Lucille founded & operated Adent?s Bridal Shop in St. Joseph in 1953. In 1973 her daughter & son-in-law took over the store until it?s closing in 2003. Lucille was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Mrs. Adent is survived by four daughters-Connie (Phillip) Nuccio of Brighton, MI; Elizabeth (Edward) Tomaszewski of Stevensville; Sheila (Sam) Bavido of St. Joseph; Bernadette (Sam) Caropepe of St. Joseph; one son-James (Maryann) Adent of St. Joseph; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews including one special niece-Sister Dolores Kazmierczak. She was preceded in death by her husband Alphonse on Feburary 11, 1976, and nine sisters and one brother.
