Joan E. Drake

Joan Drake, 79, of St. Joseph, passed away August 8, 2004, at her home. A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held at 1:00P.M., Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at Point O? Woods Country Club, 1516 Roslin Rd., Benton Harbor, with Msgr Eugene Sears officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the (Chick) Evans Scholarship Fund. She married Samuel Drake, who was ?Head Pro? at Point O? Woods Country club for many years. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1999. She worked for many years in the travel agency business and traveled extensively, making friends all over the country. Joan was an avid golfer and was a member of the Par Club. She was a snow-bird, spending the winters in Bradenton Florida. Joan is survived by her brother George (Jan) Britton of Lady Lake, Florida, a few cousins, and many friends.
