Carol's Obituary

Carol E. Herrman, 52, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at Golden Place in St. Joseph, after a long, valiant battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at St. Peter?s Church, 623 Church St., St. Joseph with Rev. Randy Doyle officiating. Cremation will follow the service with burial at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Thursday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to St. Peter?s Church or Berrien County Cancer Service. Carol was born May 25, 1952 to Lester E. & Virginia (Ross) Herrman, Sr. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1970 and from Central Michigan University in 1974. Carol was employed at Family Foods in Benton Harbor from 1976-1988; and by Whirlpool in St. Joseph from 1988 until her health forced her retirement in 1997. Carol was a member of St. Peter?s Church in St. Joseph. Carol is survived by her mother Virginia Herrman of St. Joseph; her brother Lester (Marilyn) Herrman, Jr. of St. Joseph; her sister Barbara (John) Alice of Richardson, TX; five nephews-Kyle E. Herrman, Benjamin (Nicole) Rimes, Jonathon Rimes, Michael (Danielle) Alice, David Alice; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Lester Herrman, Sr. on March 8, 1984 and her sister-in-law-Cynthia Marutz Herrman on July 14, 1994.
