W.C. ?Dub? Collins, 70, of Sodus, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Kerley-Starks and Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2605 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus with military rites conducted. Friends may call on Friday, December 3, 2004 at the funeral home. W.C. was born in Caraway, Arkansas to William and Lydia (Ross) Collins on July 18, 1934. W.C. moved to Michigan at the age of three and has lived here since. He retired from Art Stover Construction Company. He was a member of Moose Club # 1570 in Benton Harbor, American Legion post # 105 in Benton Harbor, and VFW post # 1137 in Benton Harbor. He married Glenda Meador on January 7, 1960 in Mississippi. W.C. is survived by his wife Glenda; children – Dub Alan Collins, Glenna (Collins) Mike Shea, Deborah (James) Wolford, Danny Ray Collins, Dee Conner, and Debra (Carl) Wells; grandchildren – Joshua Collins, Amanda Collins, Megan Shea, Michael Shea, Brian Wolford, Warren Wolford, Savannah Wolford, D.J. Collins, Ashlee Collins, Brandon Ruley, Waylen Wright, Brian Wells, Cam Wells, and Carrie Wells; nine great-grandchildren; sister Vedis Flecher (Collins);his best friend for fifty years, Donnie Hampton; and many nieces and nephews. W.C. was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers William Edward Collins and Larry Ross
