Ann Adams, 81, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at Lakeland Hospital ? St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, July 30, 2004 at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, with Rev. Melanie Lawrence officiating. Burial will be at North Shore Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9pm Thursday, July 29, 2004 at the funeral home. Ann was born to Thomas and Bessie (Trout) Bell on January 1, 1923, in Beth Page, TN, but resided in the Twin Cities area the majority of her life. She retired from Sears & Roebuck after 30 years of employment and also participated extensively in the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post #1137. She attended Pilgrim Congregational U.C.C. of Lincoln Township, on a regular basis. One of her greatest hobbies was crafts, especially Christmas ornaments, which hang in all of her loved ones? homes. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter ? Jane Adams Dibbern and her husband Fred Dibbern of Buffalo Grove, ILL; three sisters ? Lois (C.J.) Stevens, of St. Joseph, Pauline (James) Baxter, of Benton Harbor; Ruth (Jack) LaMore of Niles, Mich; two brothers ? Tom Bell of Benton Harbor, and Bill Bell of Freemont, Mich. She is preceded in death by her brother Floyd Bell and her husband Manuel ?Manny? Adams, in 1987.
