Dorothy Ferraro, 90, of Stevensville, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church 211, Church St., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may call from 2-4 P.M. Sunday, with the Rosary recited at 4:00 P.M. at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Mrs. Ferraro was born August 28, 1913 in Mt. Vernon, Indiana to Robert & Florence (Stultz) Thomas. On December 27, 1931, she married Joseph Ferraro in Chicago, Illinois. Dorothy was employed at V-M Corporation in Benton Harbor for 25 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Dorothy was a very giving & loving lady. She enjoyed entertaining friends, gardening, sewing, reading, and most of all spending time with her family, whom she loved very deeply.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters-Margaret Murphy of Stevensville, Janet Ferraro of Prospect Heights, IL; a son-Joseph (Jeanna) Ferraro of Lansing, MI; grandchildren-Joey Ferraro, Julie Murphy, Tamara Murphy; great-granddaughter-Gianna Ferraro; brother-in-laws-Jim (Becky) Ferraro, Danny Ferraro-both of Chicago, Butch (Babe) Ferraro of California, Joseph Cirignani of Belvedere, IL; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph on January 10, 1999; her parents; her sister Ruby Cirignani; and her brother Clarence Thomas.
