Beatrice R. Novotny

Beatrice R. Novotny, 85, formerly of Stevensville, passed away Sunday June 6, 2004 at Woodland Manor in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Kent Meyer, PhD. officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The National Audubon Society or Parkinson?s Disease Foundation. On July 29, 1944, she married Herbert J. Novotny in Evansville. Beatrice was a member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in St. Joseph. She was an animal lover and especially enjoyed bird watching. Mrs. Novotny is survived by her daughter Janice (Richard) Gebhart of Sheboygan, WI; three sons-Herbert (Cindy) Novotny, Jr. of Winona Lake, IN; John (Valerie) Novotny of Warminster, PA; Charles (Colleen) Novotny of Farmington Hills, MI; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; a brother John Frey, Jr.; a sister Valada Pierce; and her husband Herbert Sr. on April 18, 1997.
