Agnes J. Feltner

Agnes Josephine Feltner, 86, of St. Joseph, passed away on November 9, 2004, at Golden Place in St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, November 13, 2004, at 10:00 A.M. at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Rev. Gail Miller-McKee officiating. Burial will follow at North Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may call on Friday, November 12, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home. Agnes was born to Joseph and Agnes (Stewart) Williamson on April 24, 1918 in Audubon, Iowa. Agnes married her sweetheart, Delbert Feltner, on May 2, 1936 in Maryville, Missouri, they were married for 63 years. She was a waitress for ten years at the former Ritters Restaurant in Stevensville (Grand Mere Inn). Agnes?s family was very important to her. Agnes loved flower gardening, especially beautiful roses. She also enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, and watching Notre Dame football. Agnes is survived by her children, Dee Dee Sempert of Stevensville and Robert (Bonnie) Feltner of Hudsonville; daughters in law, Carolyn Feltner of German Town, Wisconsin and Jeanne Feltner of St. Joseph; twelve grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband on November 17, 1998; sons, Russell Feltner in 1988 and Roy Feltner in 1992; three brothers; and two sisters. In life we have pleasures with our loved ones, we have sorrow, pain, and joy, but thank God for memories that death can not destroy.
