Ruth N. Freudenburg

Ruth N. Freudenburg, 77, of St. Joseph died Saturday June 5, 2004 at Lakeland Continuing Care – St. Joseph after an extended illness. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 8th from 10:00 ? 11:00 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 613 Court Street. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jon Benderwald officiating. Memorials maybe made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Ruth was born to Oscar & Frieda (Schulz) Freudenburg on January 11, 1927, in Madison Nebraska. She was employed in St. Joseph at Faye Foundry and later with Dr. Johnston and Dr. Linn ophthalmologists. For the last fifteen years Ruth resided in California and recently returned to the area to be near her family. She was fondly regarded as a ?Special Auntie? by her many nieces and nephews, and was cherished by her brothers and sisters. Survivor included her brothers ? Daniel (Fannie) of Dover Florida, Paul (Sally) of St. Joseph, Alfred (Mary Ann) of St. Joseph, Marcis, of Benton Harbor. Her Sisters are – Geraldine (Richard) Blanchard of Clarksville, TN and Harriett Peer of Louisville, CO. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a special friend Lou. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters – Miriam Louise, Elizabeth Ann Kelm (Otto), Esther (John) Lucille Cohagen; and Brothers – David (Carol) Lee, and Michael. Ruth s? family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Pastor Jon, her special caregivers, and Lakeland Continuing Care Center for their loving kindness to both Ruth and Family.
