Janet M. Grolla

Janet M. Grolla, 64, of Stevensville, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 06, 2004. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, November 8, 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Kendall L. Schaeffer officiating, at Kerley-Starks&Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00-7:00 P.M., at the funeral home. She married Richard Grolla in 1957 in Shawneetown, IL. She was employed for 13 years until her retirement in 2000, at the Speedway in Bridgman, MI, as a cook. Mrs. Grolla was an avid gardener and cook; she loved to read; and enjoyed being a grandmother, and attended and supported many of her grandchildren sporting events. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her two daughters, Carrie (Michael) Pappa of Stevensville, and Linda (David) Dvojacki of Crown Point, IN; seven grandchildren, John, Danny, Katie Pappa, and Rosie, Dominique, Lucas and Drake Dvojacki; a sister, Cathy (David) Bratovich of Visalia, CA; and a brother-in-law, Ronald (June) Grolla of St. John, IN. Preceding her in death are her parents, Alberta (Veurink) and Tony VanRyte, and her husband, Richard Grolla.
