Jennifer's Obituary
Jennifer A. Zelmer, 44, of St. Joseph, went to meet her Lord
& Savior, Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:30 A.M.
Friday at the First Church of God, 2627 Niles Ave., St.
Joseph. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 P.M.
(Michigan Time) at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in
Granger, Indiana. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Thursday
at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650
Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to Berrien
County Cancer Service or Hospice at Home.
Jennifer was born January 13, 1960 in South Bend, Indiana to
William & Barbara (Reser) Hatfield. She graduated from
Clay High School in 1978. On September 12, 1981 Jennifer
married Allen Zelmer in South Bend. She graduated in 1987
from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor Degree in
Marketing. Jennifer loved children and had a passion to serve
her Lord. She was a member of the First Church of God
where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher and Pastor
of Children?s Ministry.
Jennifer is survived by her husband Allen; two sons-Jareth &
Justin Zelmer, both at home; her parents William & Barbara
Hatfield of South Bend; a sister-Elizabeth (John) Grinslade of
Greentown, IN; two brothers-William (Patty) Hatfield of
South Bend, Robert Hatfield & his finacee Cheryl Harris of
South Bend; Allen?s parents-Norman & Rita Zelmer of
Bridgman, MI; and Allen?s brothers & sisters & spouses.
