Brandon K. Mathenia

Brandon K. Mathenia, 25, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, June 04, 2004 at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. Thursday, June 10 at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Cremation will follow the visitation. Memorials may be made to The American Red Cross. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Brandon was born March 6, 1979 in St. Joseph to Thomas & Brenda (Huff) Mathenia. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1997. He was attending Lake Michigan College and was employed as a sales rep for Vector Marketing/Cutco Cutlery in South Bend. Brandon was a man of a thousand smiles, one?s of secrets, one?s of love and friendship. His smile reflected to people the person he was. Family and friends were everything to him and he would be the first to tell you. If he did not have the words, he would let music speak for him using poets like Zeppelin, The Dead, The Doors, and of course Pink Floyd. But nothing was more poetic to Brandon than a Michigan Sunset with the colors, the clouds, and the water. It was pure beauty-just like Brandon. Brandon was a dedicated Michigan State Fan and sports junkie. Brandon loved his friends who will miss him much: Eric, Brian, Josh, John, Mike, Matt, Branden, Robert, Darren, Geno, plus all his brother Daniel?s friends. Brandon will be deeply missed by his mom, dad, and brother and his grandmother-June Mathenia who he deeply loved, and his grandfather-Claude Easley; also his many aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends. Brandon had a dream-had a goal-and had an action plan that he (my son) was executing. Brandon was truly loved and will be missed every day for the rest of our lives.
