Mary Polstin, 78, of St. Joseph died Saturday May 22, 2004 at Jordan Nursing home in Bridgman.Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Celebration of Life services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at North Shore Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Foundation. Friends wishing to send a condolence may do so at www.starks ?menchinger.com Mary was born on July 9, 1925 to Adam & Magdalena (Haman) Lotsbaich in Osijek Djakovo, Yugoslav. In 1933 she immigrated to the USA. On March 2, 1946 she married Charles ?Chuck? L. Polstin at St. Johns? Catholic Church in Benton Harbor. Mary is one of the original Shady Ladies of the Lakeshore Studio where she worked for 20 years. She was a great gardener and crafter; and she also enjoyed reading. She is survived by a daughter Janet Polstin of St. Joseph a son Raymond (Jan) Polstin of Benton Harbor, three grandchildren, Robert, Michael and Loretta; two great grandchildren, Brittany and Raven; and one sister Betty Dagg of Arizona. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, on October 9, 1978, her parents, and two brothers Anthony & John.
