Frances's Obituary
Frances B. McBride, 87, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics of Kalamazoo. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guest book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. McBride was born March 6, 1917 in Stevensville to Joseph and Mary Steltman. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. For many years she was a manager at the Auto Specialties Credit Union and the Benton Community Credit Union.
Mrs. McBride is survived by her children, George (Patricia) McBride of Kalamazoo, William McBride of Arlington, Virginia; three grandchildren, Michael, Jeffrey and Douglas; two sisters, Margaret Howard of St. Joseph and Evelyn (Ralph) Wenger of Lakeside. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews including her caregiver niece, Joan Hardenberg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William, one brother and four sisters.
