Michael A. Smith

Mike’s life began on October 1, 1955 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Russell and Edwina (Rhoads) Smith. He married Deborah Kurzhal on October 12, 1974 in South Bend, IN. Mike was very close to his family and he will be dearly missed. He really enjoyed hunting and fishing. His loving family includes his wife, Deborah Smith; daughters, Amber and Nicole Smith; brother and sister, Edward Smith and Doris Freshly both of Washington. Mike passed away at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley Nielson. His family will gather with friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Yazel & Clark Chapel from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Kasper officiating.
