Shirley C. Lick

Shirley C. Lick, 66, of Stevensville, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Paul Koehneke officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Mrs. Lick was born June 17, 1937 in Benton Harbor to Herman & Dorothy (Brubaker) Schuhknecht. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1955. On June 26, 1992 she married Harold Lick in St. Joseph. She and Harold loved to play bingo. Shirley was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in St. Joseph. She was loved and will be missed by her family. Shirley is survived by her husband Harold; her son-Linwood C. (Patricia) Flippo of Stevensville, four daughters-Darlena M. (Butch) Kauffman of Goshen, IN, Pamela L. (Charles Gravatt) Flippo of Grand Junction, MI, Christine (Roger) Williams of Stevensville, Denise Lick of Hartford, MI; nine grandchildren-Jessica & Michael Smith, Robert & Alix Goss, Gianna Flippo, Brian, Miranda, Lauren & Kylie Williams; one great-grandson-Lucas Smith; two sisters-Joanne (Keith) Lausman of Stevensville, Jackie (Bud) Burns of Lansing; three brothers-Nick (Leona) Rose of St. Joseph, Gene (Gail) Rose of Bridgman & Donald (Dee) Schuhknecht of Stevensville. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-Beverly Rose.
