Sherri's Obituary

Sherri’s life began on April 7, 1955 in Dowagiac, the daughter of Kenneth E. and Betty L. (Mott) Wenger. She was earned her degree at Southwestern Michigan College in Law Enforcement and was employed by the Cass County Sheriff’s Department. Sherri was the best at everything she did; she could paint beautiful pictures or build a house. She was a very handy woman and she had a hand in helping her children with their homes. Her biggest passions in life were animals. Sherri’s favorite place to be was on the farm with the horses and chickens. Her greatest joy was her family which includes children Krin (Craig) Harrison of Sterling Heights, Joseph (Kelly) Zawisza of Clinton Twp. and Michael Zawisza of Kalamazoo, four grandchildren Emma, Noah, Brooke and Natalie and sisters Katherine (Ted) Hoekstra of Dowagiac and Bonnie (Phil) Miller of Sawyer. Sherrie passed away on Sunday September 9, 2012 at her sister’s home. Her family will gather with friends on Thursday from 11-1 p.m. at Yazel & Clark Chapel where her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday with Pastor John Kasper. She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Please sign her guestbook and leave a memory of Sherri at www.yazel-clark.com.
