Rudolf Stadelmayer, 72, of St. Joseph, passed away in Zionsville, IN, on Saturday, August 9, 2003. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 11:00AM, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 3351 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Dean Pickett and Pastor Michael Stadelmayer officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 13, from 3:00-5:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Stevensville. Memorial contributions may be made to Warner Memorial Camp or to the Michigan Parkinson?s Foundation. Friends wishing to leave a message of condolence, or to sign the family guest book, may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Mr. Stadelmayer was born October 15, 1930, in Kurant, Poland, to Michael and Olga (Mattes) Stadelmayer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea. He married Elsa Herbstreit on December 10, 1955, in St. Joseph. Rudolf had worked as a chemical operator at Up-John in Kalamazoo for 23 years, retiring in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Elsa; a daughter, Irene (Scott) Jackson of Indianapolis, IN; a son, Michael (Carol) Stadelmayer of Mio, MI; five grandchildren, Tim, Shari, Kristi, Matthew and Maria; a sister, Emma (Heinz) Georgii of Germany; two brothers, Ed (Helene) Stadelmayer of St. Joseph, and Fred (Rose) Stadelmayer of Temecula, CA. Preceding him are his parents and a brother, Jacob Stadelmayer.
