Sandy Damschroder, 50, of St. Joseph, died Wednesday
March 26, 2003 at Lakeland Hospital- St. Joseph
Visitation will be held from 2:00 ? 6:00 PM Sunday at Starks
& Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St.
Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00
AM Monday at The Chapel, 4250 Washington Ave, burial to
follow at Riverview Cemetery. Memorial may be made to
Animal Aid of Southwestern Michigan, PO Box 407, St.
Joseph, Michigan 49085. Friends wishing to send a

She was born January 2, 1953 to Robert and Dorothy
(Warren) Fuller in St. Joseph. She grew up in St. Joseph and
graduated in 1975 from Michigan State University with a
degree in marketing. In 1976 she married Michael
Damschroder. They lived in Pittsburgh and Houston where
she worked at Gulf Oil and Chevron before moving to
Philadelphia where she began her own Graphic Design
Business. They moved to St. Joseph in 1992.
She will be remembered as a spontaneous, creative, active,
industrious, helpful and fun loving person. She was actively
involved in many volunteer organizations including Animal
Aid, Children?s Music Workshop, Fred Upton Campaign,
Venetian Festival, Relay for Life and many projects at her
children?s school.
She was a dedicated, supportive mother who was greatly
involved with her children. She loved having people around
and loved to laugh.
Survivors include her husband Michael Damschroder, her
children ?Brittany Annette Damschroder 14 and Benjamin
Michael Damschroder 12, both at home; sisters- Jeri (Doug)
Fordyce of St. Joseph, Sue (John) Rue of Stevensville;
nephews- Nate Ranke, Eric Rue, Tyler Rue; Nieces- Tarah
Ranke, Bobbi Ranke, Kendra Rue; and her Fairy God Mother
Arlene Federighi
Preceded in death by her parents Robert in 1981 and her
mother Dorothy in 1996
