Shirley J. Nieb

Shirley Hover-Nieb, 72, of St. Joseph, died at her residence on Wednesday, February 26, 2003. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2003, 11:00AM, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles, MI. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 till 7:00PM, at the funeral home. She was a graduate of Niles High School in 1948. Shirley retired as a manager in customer service at Whirlpool Corp., in 1990 after 33 years of service. She loved to learn new things and continually strived to educate herself whenever possible. She loved traveling, especially with her elder hostel traveling companions. Shirley also was an excellent cook, her family and friends looked forward to her dinner invitations. She was a wonderful mother and friend, and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Nieb of Benton Harbor, and Brenda?s fianc?e Jonathan Dube; also her mother, Helen Morley of Niles; and a brother, Jerry Hover, and a sister, Bonnie (Ed) Behm, both of Niles. Her father Frank Hover, and a brother-Jack, preceded her in death.
