Roy Lee Momany

Roy ?Lee? Momany, 69, of Sodus, went to meet his Lord & Savior, Saturday, September 6, 2003, at St. Mary?s Hospital, Mequon, Wisconsin. A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:30A.M. Thursday, at The First Church of God, 2627 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, with Rev. Robert Moss and Rev. Dr. Christopher Momany officiating. Burial will follow at Shanghai Cemetery, Eau Claire. Friends may call from 10-11:30am, Thursday, at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the First Church of God. Those wishing to share a memory or sign the guestbook on line may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Mr. Momany was born January 3, 1934 to Roy and Eva (Haskins) Momany, in Eau Claire, MI. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1952. On April 3, 1953, he married the former Catherine Owkes. Lee was employed as a supervisor at East Shore Chemical Company, in St. Joseph. In 1965 the company moved to Muskegon and became ESCO. Lee retired in 1997 and moved back to the twin cities area. Roy was an avid outdoorsman and woodworker. He was an active member of the First Church of God; and the Woodmere Church of God ? now the United Church of God when he lived in Muskegon. Roy loved the Lord, his family, his friends, and all of God?s creation. Mr. Momany is survived by his wife Catherine; daughter Janine (Gary) Borreson of Maple City, MI; son Stephen E. (Nancy) Momany of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren Rachael (Tim) Hall, Gabriel and Levi Borreson; great-grandson-Devin Hall; brother Ron (Carol) Momany of St. Joseph; and brother-in-law Bob Falk of Cookson, OK; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Connie Momany in 1981 and a sister Betty Falk in 2003.
