Hermann Bansen, 80, of St. Joseph, died Friday, December 13, 2002, 2:39PM, at Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 17, 1002 at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, from 7:00-8:00PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Starks & Menchinger, Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at 2PM, with Pastor Ron Rayon officiating. Memorials may be made to the donor?s choice. Friends wishing to sign the guestbook on line may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Mr. Bansen was born on April 3, 1922 in Germany, to Adolph Bansen and Berta (Spitzke) Bansen. On July 14, 1951, in Germany, he married Ursula Seidler. He had been employed as a Tool & Die maker at Linky Tool & Die in Bridgman. Hermann was a member of Grace Christian Center, Stevensville. Hermann is survived by his wife Ursula; son Harold Bansen of big Pine Key, FL; son-in-law Gerhard Schuett of Manistee, MI; brothers Henry (Anna Marie) Bansen of Twin Lake, MI; Albert (Herta) Bansen of Riverside, MI; a sister Hedwig Bansen of Germany; also 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Rita Schuett; his parents; brothers, Edward and Robert; and a sister Inge Drews.
