Treasure's Obituary
Treasure Pliley, 92, of St. Joseph, died Saturday, December
21, at Orchard Grove Extended Care Center in Benton
Harbor.
Reverend Paul Koehneke will officiate the funeral celebrating
her life at 11am, Friday, December 27, at Peace Lutheran
Church, St. Joseph, of which she was a member. Burial will
follow in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Friends are invited to
visit with the family at the Church one hour prior to the
service. The family has requested that memorials be made to
the church or Hospice at Home in lieu of flowers.

Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. 556-9450.

Treasure was born on March 12, 1910 in Zanesville, Ohio.
She was one of eleven children born to Edward and Norwesta
(Methany) Mendenhall. On February 27, 1929 she married
Earl W. Pliley also of Zanesville. Earl?s job as a government
inspector took them to many different cities and towns over
the years. They finally settled in Benton Harbor in 1950.
Treasure was employed at Mercy Hospital and retired from
there in 1975. She and Earl enjoyed traveling and shared
many wonderful years together until his death in 1980.
Treasure is survived by her daughter Judy (Wesley)
Pendergrass of Noblesville, IN, two sons, Jerry (Kathryn)
Pliley of St. Joseph, and Boyd (Marie) Pliley of Chicago, IL,
and a daughter-in-law Karen (Russell) Pliley of Bangor. She
was a proud and loving grandmother to 19 grandchildren, 5
step-grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 11
step-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sons ? Russell Pliley in
1972, and Lloyd Pliley in 1992, two daughters-in-law ?
Elizabeth (Lloyd) Pliley and Barbara (Jerry) Pliley, a
grandson Boyd Pliley, Jr., and two great-grandsons ? Tanner
Shaw and Ronnie Shaver, Jr.
