Beulah ?Boots? Coffel, of Benton Harbor, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Lakeland Hospital. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, July 19, 2003, with Rev. Jill Rasmussen-Baker officiating, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Burial will be in North Shore Memory Gardens. She married Vayne Coffel in 1934. She worked at Shepherd Products for seventeen years. Mrs. Coffel is survived by a daughter Sharon (Earl) Elston; a son Gale Robert Coffel; a sister Geraldine Cluster, all of Benton Harbor; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and seventeen great-great-grandchildren. ?Boots? was preceded in death by her husband Vayne Coffel, on March 8, 1989; a daughter Barbara Luhrsen, in 2003; and a son Vayne ?Bucky? Coffel in 1972.
