Margaret's Obituary

Margaret Ann Evans, 56, of Berrien Springs, passed away at home Thursday, November 21, 2002 following a long & courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in Baroda with Rev. Christopher Noffke officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Hinchman. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Mrs. Evans was born on June 1, 1946 in St. Joseph to Leslie R., Sr. & Margaret A. (Beckman) Pullins. On February 20, 1964 she married Gail Evans in St. Joseph. Margaret was a member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ & Michigan Farm Bureau. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially treasured the time with her grandchildren whom she referred to as her ?six little angels?. Margaret also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and boating. Margaret is survived by her husband Gail; four daughters-Lisa Evans, and Vicki (Gerry) Spitzke, both of Berrien Springs; Debra (Brien) Dowell of Stevensville; Amy (Tony) Martin of Benton Harbor; six grandchildren-Victoria, Veronica, Samantha, Vanessa, Rebecca & Evan; one brother-George (Patsy) Pullins of St. Joseph; two sisters-Marianne (Bill) Sanders of West Henrietta, NY; and Linda Scherer of St. Joseph. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers-Leslie Pullins, Jr., Don Pullins, and Robert Pullins.
