Margaret's Obituary
Margaret L. Cohn, 80, of St. Joseph, went to meet her Lord
and Savior on Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at her home. Friends
may call on Thursday from 6:00- 8:00 PM at Starks &
Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St.
Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00
A.M. Friday at the funeral home, with burial to follow in
Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace
Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home. Friends wishing to

Mrs. Cohn was born on February 3, 1922 in Baxter,
Tennessee to Frank & Marie (Leckwald) Slatton. Margaret
was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone for 32 years
before retiring in 1981. She was a member of Grace Lutheran
Church, Altar Guild and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Margaret was an avid golfer & bowler.
Mrs. Cohn is survived by her son-Larry (Joy) Hein of Marne,
MI; her daughter-Marilyn Hein of Terre Haute, IN; three
grandchildren-Tina Kiger, Lisa Stehle, Stephanie Tatman;
four great-grandchildren; three sisters-Marion Foltz of,CA;
Theresa (Bernice) Goodwin of St. Joseph; Helen Chappel of
Flint, MI; a brother-Frances Slatton of Applegate, CA;and a
sister-in-law-Esther Slatton of Flint, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband
William in 1981, and by two brothers-Frank Jr. & John
Slatton.
