Sheila's Obituary

Sheila Anne Corbett, 42, of Stevensville, was taken by the Lord after great suffering on Friday, April 4, 2003 at Lakeland Hospital-St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph. Burial will follow in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-9 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Prayers will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday. Sheila was born on September 16, 1960 in Haileybury, Ontario, Canada to Mervyn & Kathleen (Fleming) Lavigne. She attended Michigan Technological University where she earned a degree in Medical Technology. On September 17, 1983 she married Robert ?Bob? Corbett in Jackson, Michigan. Sheila was a loving wife and mother who unselfishly chose to bring life to the world ahead of a career by raising five loving children whom she cherished and loved dearly. Sheila loved to decorate and shop for antiques. Sheila is survived by her husband Bob; five children-Kevin, Brian, Katie, Matthew & Kellie Corbett-all at home; her parents-Mervyn & Kathleen Lavigne of Haileybury, Ontario; and two brothers-John Lavigne of Toronto, Ontario; and Dan Lavigne of Haileybury, Ontario.
