Art's Obituary
Art Kerschbaum, loving husband, father, grandfather, son and
brother, 62, of Stevensville, passed away Tuesday, September
10, 2002 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be recited
at 10:00 A.M. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St.
Joseph with Msgr. Eugene Sears officiating. Cremation will
follow the services with burial of his ashes at Hickory Bluff
Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M.
Thursday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home,
2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Liturgical Prayers will be recited
at 7:00 P.M. Thursday. Memorials may be made to Hospice
at Home or to the Family. Those wishing to share a memory

Art was born on July 26, 1940 in St. Joseph to Carl & Millie
(Demler) Kerschbaum. He graduated from St. Joseph
Catholic High School in 1958. On July 8, 1961 he married
the former Sally Steimle in St. Joseph. Art was formerly
employed by Clark Equipment, George Miller & Sons, AM
General, and Zenith. For the last several years he had been
self employed in construction & remodeling, operating the
Home Handyman Service. Art was a member of St. Joseph
Catholic Church in St. Joseph. He was an avid
outdoorsman-Art loved hunting & fishing. He was a member
of Ducks Unlimited. Art was active in the Lakeshore
Baseball League where he served as a coach for many years.
Art is survived by his wife Sally; four daughters-Debbie (Jim
Higgins) Kerschbaum of St. Joseph; Laurie Zelmer of
Stevensville; Sue (Leonard) Rothrock of Stevensville; Cindy
Kerschbaum of Stevensville; one son-Art Kerschbaum of
Lexington, KY; four granddaughters-Morgan Zelmer, Lexie,
Gabrielle, & Isabella Rothrock; his mother-Millie
Kerschbaum of Bridgman; his brother-David (Donna)
Kerschbaum of St. Joseph; a sister-in-law-Mary Jo Roberts of
Oregon; nephews-Dave & Al Kerschbaum, Rob Steimle;
nieces-Nancy Steimle-Davis, Becky Roberts, Vanessa
Roberts; and a great niece-Airial Davis.
