Evelyn Louise Beneke

Evelyn’s life began on April 22, 1949 in Watervliet, MI the daughter of C. Everett and Virginia (Ballard) Long. She was united in marriage to Daniel J. Beneke on April 20, 1968 in Cassopolis. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Evelyn loved to read but her real passion was spending time with her husband, Daniel, and grandchildren. Evelyn was known by all to have a very loving and giving spirit especially when it came to children and animals. Her loving family includes her husband, Daniel; daughters, Anna (William) Kring of Portage, MIAngie (David) Schwarz of Baroda, MI; grandchildren, Katelyn, Allison, Billy Kring; mother, Virginia Long; 6 sisters and 2 brothers. Evelyn passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her father, C. Everett Long. Her family will gather with friends on Monday from 5 – 8pm at Yazel & Clark Chapel, a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30pm for Evelyn at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 11:00am at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Memorial contributions in Evelyn’s name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
