Gary D. Williams

Gary D. Williams, 58, of Evans, GA, formerly of the Twin Cities Area, died Thursday, August 22, 2002 at Putnam General Hospital in Eatonton, GA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville with Rev. Philip Quardokus officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Grand Rapids. Friends may call at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, St. Joseph from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday. Gary was born on August 8, 1944 in Plainwell, MI to Dale & Dorothy (Orris) Williams. He graduated from Western Michigan University and received his masters degree from Andrews University. On December 17, 1966 he married Janet Kay Wiltzer in Grand Rapids, MI. Gary had lived for the past nine months in Evans, GA. Golf being Gary?s favorite pass time, he was the Director of Sourcing for Club Car, a major manufacturer of golf cars. Prior to working for Club Car, Gary was a VP of Supply Chain Management for Borg Warner in Muncie, IN and Director of Purchasing for Allied Signal in South Bend. He started his career at Clark Equipment in Battle Creek, MI. Gary formerly served as President of the Berrien Springs School Board for many years. Gary is survived by his wife Janet Williams of Evans, GA; three sons-Christopher (Debra) Williams of Fairfield, CT; Timothy (Tonia) Williams of Kalamazoo, MI; Michael Williams of Kalamazoo; his father-Dale B. Williams of Plainwell; and a brother-Rick Williams of Plainwell. He was preceded in death by his Mother- Dorothy Williams.
