Audrey's Obituary

Audrey Zitta, 77, of St. Joseph, loving mother and beloved wife of the late Frank Zitta, died Saturday, September 14, 2002 at Lakeland Hospital-St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00A.M. Wednesday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Dr. Robert Braman officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service. Those wishing to sign the guest book on line may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Mrs. Zitta was born on March 7, 1925 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England to Thomas & Lilly Littler. Audrey was a wartime bride and Frank brought her to this country on the Queen Elizabeth for their wedding on May 12, 1948 in Detroit Michigan. She and her husband owned & operated Zitta?s Grill in St. Joseph. Mrs. Zitta is survived by her daughter-Kay (Ray Dansfield) Zitta of St. Joseph; her son-Keith (Linda) Zitta of St. Joseph; a grandson-Charles (Tracey) Zitta & grand daughter Rebecca Lee Zitta both of St. Joseph; two great-grandsons-Charles Robert Zitta & Michael Edward Zitta. Mrs. Zitta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank in August of 1998; and by her brother Ronald.
