Marie C. Krieger

Marie C. Krieger, 82, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, April 1st, at Lakeland Continuing Care Center, St. Joseph. A Mass of Christian burial will held 9:30am, Saturday, April 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph, with Msgr. Eugene Sears officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 6-8pm, Friday, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church. On April 14, 1947, she married George P. Krieger, in St. Joseph. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the YMCA where she loved swimming, a volunteer at Lakeland Hospital, past chairman of the Coloma Gladiola Festival, as well as an Avid antique collector. Marie spent 18 years as an Accountant at Coloma Public Schools. Survivors include a brother Gene Karsten, of St. Joseph, sister Joan Dodson, of Texas; a sister-in-law Glenadine Krieger, of Eau Claire: and several nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband George Krieger; her parents, William and Marie Karsten; and a brother William Karsten.
