Leslie's Obituary

Leslie (Slim) Curtis, 86 of St. Joseph, died Friday January 31, 2003 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital Berrien Center. He was born to Alfred and Mary (Keeter) Curtis on April 7, 1916 in Royalton Township. He served his country from May 1, 1942 to November 1, 1945 in the Army Air Force. On March 9,1946 he married Daisy Wagner. He worked as a mechanic for Producers Creamery and Cast-a-Matic. His favorite past times were spending time with family and friends, fishing, watching sporting events and putting things back together. He was a member of the VFW in Berrien Springs. Leslie is survived by his wife Daisy, three daughters Judy (Tim) Newman of St. Joseph, Sharon Curtis of Stevensville, Mary (Ronald) Block of Stevensville and one son Donald Curtis of Baroda; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A service will be held at a later date with burial at Spring Run Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lakeland Foundation-LTAC or Michigan Heart Association.
