Helen Kay Tilly, 58, of Pell City, Alabama, died on Monday April 1, 2002 Visitation will be from 12:00 ? 2:00 PM Friday at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, Michigan. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Spring Run Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Helen was born on February 23, 1944, to Martin & Minerva (Howard) Tilly in St. Joseph, MI. She graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1962. She lived in the area the majority of her life and was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school. She worked at K-Mart, Sears, Ace Hardware and then at Woolin Products as an injection molder until she moved to Alabama in 1994. Survivors include four sisters Virginia Tilly of Grand Rapids, MI; June Kabel of Benton Harbor, MI; Kathryn (Stuart) Henderson of Grand Rapids, MI; Arlene Tilly of Stevensville, MI; Special Companion Terry Purser of Pell City Alabama; his son Joey Purser; Niece Jennifer Henderson of Grand Rapids, MI; Two Nephews – Timothy Kabel of fort Myers, Fl; and Thomas (Stacie) Kabel of Royal Oak, MI. Helen was a Kind and considerate person always put other before herself.
