Linda Lou Bowman

Linda Lou Herndon Bowman ST. JOSEPH – Linda Lou Herndon Bowman, 54, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at her home surrounded by her family. A celebration of Life Service will be held at 10am Saturday at First Baptist Church, 902 Broad St., St. Joseph. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call from 4-7pm, Friday, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Home, Stevensville. Lou was born Jan. 17, 1948, in Batesville, Ark., to Hayden and Emma Jean Herndon. At age 5, Lou and her family moved to St. Joseph. After graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1965, she attended Ferris State University and graduated with an associates degree in business. She held many positions at Whirlpool Corporation from 1969-2001. Lou is survived by her husband, Larry “Moose”, with whom she would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary this November; 2 daughters – Brooke(Brendan)Gualdoni of Elk Grove Village, IL, and Britney(Stephen)Burkett and grandson, Hunter Hayden of Gilbert, Ariz.; her mother, Emma Jean Herndon, of St. Joseph; a sister, Corrinda Herndon, of St. Joseph; nieces – Jamie, Joelle, Dana, Kori, and Bryn; nephews – Jeff and Tom; a great niece, Halley; great nephews – Michael, Tyler, Nicholas and Josh. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas and her father, Hayden.
